St Kitts and Nevis, Day 4

Beach day…and that was about it for the day. Before the beach we visited Newcastle Pottery where whimsical objects are made out of the island’s red clay, and Sweet O Savory bakery where we bought a selection of beef, chicken and fish pies for tonight. And, then it was to nearby Chrishi Beach Club where we stayed until the sun was low on the horizon. We returned to the house where we found monkeys climbing the roof and trees. The small monkeys are known as “green” monkeys (they are not green), perhaps because they eat green fruit — I don’t know how farmers deal with them. They travel in bunches of five, six, seven or more and entertain only tourists, I suspect.
