Well, we now are on land after a week in the northern Aegean. We sailed from the port of Athens, Piraeus, to Dikili in Türkiye to visit Pergamon, and then to Limnos, Skiathos, Skopelos, and Poros before returning to Piraeus. I’ll post some pictures of the islands, but here are some of the ship. There was a thrill watching the sails raised and lowered and the gentle lilting of the ship as we followed the wind. The technology involved in raising and lowering sails was fun to watch and beyond my understanding.
